Description
CCDO Chargehand (CCDO Demolition Chargehand)
CCDO Chargehand Card, the CCDO Demolition Chargehand card teaches individuals the skills required to function as a team leader on demolition sites. Holders will already have 5 years of demolition experience and will learn to supervise less experienced operatives and perform additional duties such as preparation and delivery of site inductions.
The red card is valid for 3 years and is non-renewable. Red cardholders must complete NVQ Level 3 within the 3-year timeframe to convert the card to a fully qualified Silver Chargehand card.
Duties
- Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with RAMS.
- Reporting to site supervisor.
- Delivering Tool Box Talks.
- Team Leader directing and working alongside operatives.
- Preparation and delivery of site inductions.
Red Chargehand Card
Pre-requisites
Experience
Must have held a blue Demolition Topman card (5 years) and have 5 years Demolition Industry experience. To obtain a fully qualified Demolition Topman card, you must meet all the pre-requisites for that card; have completed the 1-day course and passed Level 2 Topman NVQ.
HSE Test
Current Demolition Specialist or above Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Touchscreen Test Pass.
Previous Asbestos Training
You must hold a current Asbestos Awareness Certificate (as a minimum). Other higher-level Asbestos Training will be accepted. You can only obtain your Asbestos Awareness Certificate through NDTG, UKATA, ARCA, or ACAD.
Green Labourer Card
Course
You can complete the 2-day CCDO Chargehand course at NDTG venues nationwide.
The red card is valid for 3 years. This card is non-renewable. You must complete an NVQ level 3 within 3 years to convert your red Chargehand card to a silver Chargehand card.
